Service Opportunities (Updated 5-26-2020)

When new service opportunities become available, we will post the information here.

On-Going Volunteer Opportunities
Gardenview Horticultural Park
- Gardenview Horticultural Park, at 16711 Pearl Road in Strongsville, is in need of volunteers to help with basic grounds maintenance and front gate hosting. Help is needed with planting and weeding, assisting with bed development, watering, moving dirt and mulch, and front gate hosting on weekends during business hours. Contact Joe Tooman at 440-580-0361 or Turn on JavaScript! for more information or to volunteer.

Feeding Our Family at Our Family Center
- On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month, 4 to 8 parish members travel to Our Family Center, a storefront in East Cleveland, to provide a nourishing, hot meal to 50-70 men, women and children. A cooking team of 4 to 6 parishioners plans and prepares the meal in the HFC kitchen in advance. The serving team of 4 to 8 parishioners meets at the church at 2:30pm, goes to East Cleveland to serve the meal, and returns to the church around 5:45pm. Volunteers can participate throughout the year. This would be a great experience for teens and their parents. If you would like to sign up, follow this link to the correct page of our website, then follow the link to sign up online. For more information, contact Al Weaver at Turn on JavaScript!

Kemper House - Volunteer opportunities are available at Kemper House, a residential care facility dedicated to caring for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease. Most opportunities involve playing games and spending time with the residents. Both weekday and weekend times are available. Contact Valerie Hurst at 440.846.1100 or Turn on JavaScript! for more information. Kemper House is located at 10890 Prospect Road in Strongsville.
