Adult Faith Formation Opportunities

The Adult Faith Formation Committee is comprised of parishioners from both St. Joseph and St. John Neumann parishes. Its goal is to provide engaging programs and speakers that bring our parishioners together to participate in religious experiences and faith sharing as a large Christian Community. Call, see the bulletin, or view the website for Adult Faith Formation opportunities as they are offered and presented.

St. Joseph's Book Club
"It's alive!!!" Start off your summer reading in monster style as we delve into Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, first pubnlished in 1818. Many of us know the 1931 movie of the same name - this book is the original novel filled with all the great characters we know and fear. Fr. Greg Olszewski, lontime English Language Major, will work us through not only the story but issues such as playing God, artificial life, transplants, cloning, harvesting body parts, medical and biological ethics and morals and more! Dates for our St. Joe's Book Club are the following Mondays at 7:00PM: June 3rd, June 10th and June 17th. People may attend all three sessions or any of the individual sessions as their schedules fit. Frankenstein has a Preface and three parts called Volumes. June 3rd will cover the Preface and Volume I; June 10th will cover Volumer II; and June 17th will cover Volume III. Please read ahead, and remember to read with a dictionary (tip from the English Major). Fr. Greg will provide any handouts or other materials. Please contact Moira in the Parish Office with your name, phone number and/or email to sign up. You will need your own copy of the book. It should be available at the local public library or inexpensively at Half Price Books or thriftbooks.com.
