33 Days to Eucharistic Glory: A Spiritual Pilgrimage
Our parish is about to embark on a spiritual pilgrimage to deepen our love and devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist! Our Christmas gift to your family is the new book by Catholic author, Matthew Kelly, “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory”. This short, easy-to-read book is a 33-day devotional that will prepare you to consecrate your life more fully to the Eucharist. What is “consecration”? According to Matthew Kelly, “Consecration is to devote yourself to God and make yourself 100 percent available to carry out His will on this earth.” This is the heart of living our Catholic faith.
It's my prayer and vision that our whole parish will take up this 33-day spiritual pilgrimage to grow in our love and devotion to the Eucharist. With that in mind, here’s the pilgrimage itinerary we’ll follow.
“33 Days to Eucharistic Glory” 2025 Timeline
Between now and January 12: Read the Introduction to “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory”
January 13: Read Day 1 of “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory”
January 14 – February 14: Read Days 2-33, one reading per day
February 15 & 16: Consecration to the Eucharist at all Masses this weekend
Parish Small Groups
Because the 33 days of this book are meant to be a spiritual pilgrimage, it’s important to note that pilgrimages are rarely traveled alone. That’s why we’re encouraging you to join a small group to journey together through “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory”. At the meetings, you’ll discuss the readings and spend some time in Eucharistic Adoration. Here at St. Joseph’s, we’ll be offering the following small group options (meetings will take place in the Holy Family Center):
Tuesday Mornings @ 10:00am – January 21, January 28, February 4, February 11
Wednesday Afternoons @ 3:30pm – January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12
Thursday Evenings @ 7:00pm – January 23, January 30, February 6, February 13
You can attend these small groups as “drop-in” events, and you can mix and match. If you’re able to let us know you’re coming by signing up, that would be great! Please use this Sign-Up Genius link to sign up for the particular sessions you plan on attending.
If you can’t join one of the parish-based small groups, that’s understandable. But we encourage you to follow the timeline above and journey with at least one other person during this spiritual pilgrimage! As part of the Eucharistic Revival in the United States, the Eucharistic Congress encourages all of us to “walk with one”. As Catholics, we’re called to share our faith and accompany each other in lifelong conversion, growing closer to Jesus in His Church. May the book “33 Days to Eucharistic Glory” be a way for us to walk together as a parish family, grow closer to Jesus in the Eucharist, and receive His life-changing love into our lives!
