The Sam Lupica Volunteer Award

By Teens For Teens

The Sam Lupica Volunteer Service Award

Sam Lupica was a humble and hard-working man who generously volunteered his time at St. Joseph Church events. He always stepped up to lend a hand and lived daily by the words, “What d'ya need?” With a humble heart and a desire to avoid recognition and the spotlight, Sam volunteered to help others. By Teen For Teens members had the joy of his company at our last Friendsgiving in November of 2019.

Sam Lupica, a parishioner at St. Joseph Church since July of 1989, passed away at the age of 71 on March 31, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. In order to honor the memory of Sam Lupica, an award will be given yearly to a Faith Mentor in By Teens For Teens who volunteers regularly in a manner that is not self-promoting. This award will be distributed yearly and the recipient will be selected by the youth minister and the Pastor. Funds for the award will be collected yearly in the memory of Sam Lupica.
