St. Joseph Parish Endowment Fund

Sharing our Faith, Securing our Future

What is the Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund?

Consolidating existing monies, the Saint Joseph Endowment Fund was established in 2015 as a way of helping our parish share our faith while securing a strong stable future for our community, which is why the fund has adapted the slogan, “Sharing our Faith, Securing our Future”. The Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund is designed to support the educational, facility, and pastoral concerns of our parish. All contributions to the endowment fund are used exclusively for the benefit of Saint Joseph Parish. Funds generated through our endowment will provide dependable income and be here to benefit our parish community for generations to come.

How will the Endowment Fund be used?

Disbursements from the Fund are exclusively used at Saint Joseph Parish for the educational, facility, and pastoral concerns of our parish. As required by the Endowment Agreement, the Endowment Committee meets annually to determine how funds will be distributed in the form of tuition assistance to parishioner-SJJ families, parishioner-college students through our Heritage College Scholarship, and for parish needs, such as facilities and ministries. The Fund is not a repository for weekly collections.

How will the Endowment Fund grow?

The Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund will grow by the following means:

Direct Gifts

Gifts of cash, stock, bonds or real estate. These gifts may be made all at once or periodically at the donor’s discretion.

Memorial/Honorary Gifts

This type of gift is made to honor a person’s life or a special event in a person’s life.

Retirement Funds

The donor may name the Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund as a beneficiary or designate a current distribution to receive tax benefits.

Bequests

Bequests are gifts made to the fund through the donor’s will or trust. The donor simply names the Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in the will or trust. By placing our parish in your estate plans, you celebrate and recognize how important this parish has been in your lives. Saint Joseph has been there to celebrate your joys and comfort you in times of sorrow. Your support will enable us to continue providing the same love and care for many generations to come.

How Can I Give?

One-time Gifts

You can commemorate the Baptism, Communion, Confirmation and Marriage of your loved ones by making a donation to the Endowment Fund (using your envelope packet, check, or Faith Direct) in their name and helping in continuing the mission of Jesus Christ at Saint Joseph.

Annual Gifts

You can make an immediate, outright gift (through our envelope packet, check, or Faith Direct) or annual pledge of cash, stocks, bonds mutual funds or real estate and receive an immediate charitable tax deduction.

Future Gifts

You can plan for the future by making an estate gift through a bequest in your will, trust or even a simple payable-on-death.

What’s The St. Joseph Legacy Society?

All bequests and planned gifts to the Saint Joseph Parish Endowment Fund enroll the donor into the St. Joseph Legacy Society as each donation helps to leave a legacy of support to our parish.
